Ahwatukee Foothills Concert Band

Brendan has led community music ensembles for over 20 years, including community bands, orchestras, and musical theatre. He holds a music degree in composition and conducting from Augsburg College in Minneapolis and also studied film music composition at UCLA. Brendan has composed numerous original works for concert band and has received commissions from ensembles around the country. In the world of arts media, Brendan has collaborated with and produced online video content for organizations including The Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, Ballet Arizona and The Phoenix Chorale. He currently serves on staff at Highlands Church in Scottsdale, where he oversees the weekend service experience, communications and media. Brendan is excited to return 'home' for this interim period, having served as the director of the Ahwatukee Foothills Concert band previously from 2005-2015.

A Note from our former Director Erin Quintus:

MacKenzie and I have made the decision to relocate to Washington state. This move is an exciting new chapter for us as we explore new teaching opportunities, and more importantly move closer to our family. While we are looking forward to this new adventure, leaving this ensemble will be the hardest part of the transition.
